Improving Coherence Through Consistent Subject

Advance planning is half the secret of a good party.  A wise hostess will want to examine her guest list and plan the sort of party those particular guests will most enjoy.  Some people like a non-alcoholic punch, while others feel cheated unless the refreshments include alcoholic beverages of some kind.  Food is also a matter the hostess should consider carefully ahead of time.  Dieters will not appreciate an array of creamy, high-calorie goodies, but neither will the happy eaters enjoy munching carrot sticks and celery.  The food, in short, will need to be planned to fit all the guests.  Entertainment is also a matter concerning which guests might have a wide range of preference.  Young people tend to want a loud background, while quiet semi-classical or show music is usually more pleasing to adults.  Pencil and paper games delight some guests, particularly adults, but dancing or quiet conversation is the choice of others.  All these questions must be solved ahead of time if you are to be sure of a successful party.
